Available now in paperback and Kindle—grab your copy today and let’s tackle the rollercoaster of entrepreneurship together!

Running a business isn’t the linear path to success we all imagine when we start out. You picture steady growth, confident decisions, and a clear roadmap—but in reality, it’s more like spinning in a teacup on a rollercoaster. There are dizzying highs, gut-wrenching lows, and a whole lot of unexpected twists along the way.

Over the last ten years, I’ve experienced it all. From the thrill of signing my first client to the panic of losing a major contract, and from the small wins that kept me going to the big mistakes that taught me resilience. If I’d known then what I know now, would I have done things differently? Maybe. But the reality is, the lessons I’ve learned through the bumps and bruises have been the most valuable part of my journey.

In 10 Mini Blogs for Every Female Entrepreneur, I’m not here to offer cookie-cutter advice or a shiny, sugar-coated version of entrepreneurship. I’m here to be real about what it takes to survive, adapt, and thrive in business. I share the strategies that helped me pivot when things went sideways, the mindset shifts that kept me going when I felt like giving up, and the hard-won truths that have shaped my approach to growth.

Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been in business for years, I hope these stories resonate with you. My journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been mine—and the lessons I’ve learned are ones I’ll carry with me forever.

When I was invited to write a chapter in a collaboration book I had a moment of imposter syndrome - could I possibly put my words up against other women who were no doubt better, more experienced, more articulate? Then I had a word with myself and used that initial knee-jerk reaction to fuel the title and content for my own chapter - all about the danger of comparison.

The chapter is called The Comparison Trap: Guarding Your Mental Health in the Age of 'Success Porn' and it peels back the glossy “success‑porn” feed we all doom‑scroll, explains how our cave‑brain turns those yacht‑life posts into panic, and shares my own burnout‑to‑business comeback. Most importantly, I hand over my easy‑to‑remember STAR method (Stop, Tools, Assess, Reflect) so you can ditch comparison guilt and define success on your terms. Think pep‑talk meets practical toolkit—perfect for anyone tired of feeling behind.

I’m back at it with another No1 Amazon bestseller! And this time it’s getting personal.

I have always been told that I am resilient and I although (I think) it was meant as a compliment it has always felt like a recognition of all the things I’ve been through… and it’s been a bumpy ride.

Writing has always been a passion of mine and from a young age I wanted to be a writer - I can tell you now that teenage me would be ridiculously proud of the person I am today (heck, today me is proud of me).

I wanted to write a book that would allow me to turn some of the less-than-enjoyable things that has happened to me over the last (cough cough) 40 something years into a valuable gift for other people. You see, I know what’s it like to struggle, I know what’s it’s like to not feel goo enough or to struggle with self confidence, I know what it’s like to feel like the whole world is against you… and I hate the thought of anyone else feeling this way.

The I in Resilience is a book of two different parts.

Part one is the story of (some of) my personal journey - but it’s not just self indulgence for the sake of it, I want to show people what triggers and trauma can look like and feel like and I want them to feel comfortable talking about: destigmatising the conversation around struggling.

The bulk of the book though is a a set of tools and exercises that can genuinely help you understand how you feel (and why) and what steps you can take to change your mindset and build resilience in yourself.

This is the book for anyone who knows how important it is to get back up again after falling down - and for anyone who thinks they don’t have strength to do so.
